I work with very fine wool and silk fibers, that are both tactile and elusive. In my practice, I play with these materials to evoke movement and life, similar to paint on canvas. Layers of fiber are built upon each other, adding along the way bits of history, discarded remnants and found treasures. Once I begin my process of felting the fibers together, a moment in time is captured and concretized into a finished piece of cloth that can't be undone. History is caught in flux, sometimes buried and often times unearthed.
